Our second team will be the first of our sides to begin league action, taking on METON-FC Dabas in the opening match of the NB III South-East Group after our opponents enjoyed an excellent spring campaign last season.
Our side prepared for the league start with three friendlies: one-goal defeats against TFSE and Birmingham U18, followed by a 1–0 win over DAC Junior in the final rehearsal.
What you need to know about METON-FC Dabas:
Founded: 1950
Club colours: red and white
League position last season: 10.
Head coach: Tóth Mihály
Dabas entered the spring half of last season in last place, but the coaching change paid off: Mihály Tóth's team eventually finished 10th and retained its third-tier status.
We suffered a one-goal defeat in the league match in Dabas in March, but had won the previous six league meetings against the red-and-whites.
Our all-time record is positive: in the 23 meetings so far there have been 12 Honvéd wins, six draws and five Dabas victories.
Our last five league matches against Dabas:
2024/25: Dabas–Honvéd II. 1–0
2024/25: Honvéd II.–Dabas 3–1 (Our scorers: Hancz, Hetyei, Átrok)
2023/24: Honvéd II.–Dabas 2–1 (Our scorers: Simon B., Haragos)
2023/24: Dabas–Honvéd II. 0–4 (Our scorers: Haragos, Kalocsány, Haragos, Kalocsány)
