Previous meetings:
For five seasons we faced Kisvárda three times a year in the top flight of Hungarian football.
2018-19: Kisvárda played the second NB I match in their history in Kispest. Attila Supka's Honvéd swept their opponents aside, with Danilo, Gazdag and Lukács scoring and Jánvári adding an own goal, making it a 4-0 Kispest win. In November 2018 we played at the Várkerti Stadion for the first time, winning 3-0 thanks to a Holender brace and an N’gog goal. The third match was again played in Kisvárda and ended 1-1, with Danilo scoring for us. Interestingly, former championship-winning Honvéd player László Dajka was on the Kisvárda bench in the latter two games.

2019-20: Things did not go well for us against Kisvárda that season, as we lost all three matches. In our first defeat to Kisvárda, our current player Kornél Ene also scored, while Barna Kesztyűs was already playing in Kispest colours at the time.
2020-21: After four consecutive defeats, our poor run against Kisvárda ended in December 2020 with a 0-0 draw, but we lost the other two league matches. By then Attila Supka was Kisvárda's head coach.
2021-22: One of the most memorable Kispest goals of recent years came against Kisvárda in 2021: with the score at 1-1, Zinedine Machach curled a magnificent strike into the far corner of the Kisvárda goal in the 90+4th minute. This was the first match between the two teams at the new Bozsik Aréna. The next two meetings brought one defeat and one draw, while Kisvárda finished the season as NB I runners-up.

2022-23: A win in Kisvárda after five years: in Round 7 of the season we ended Kisvárda's unbeaten run, with Nenad Lukic's goal earning all three points at the Várkerti Stadion. László Török's side could not beat us in the next two matches either: the game at the Bozsik Aréna ended 1-1, while the most recent meeting between the teams took place in Kisvárda on April 29, 2023. Goals from Nenad Lukic and Zalán Kerezsi earned us a point that day.
