Information and facts – everything you need to know about the match against Soroksár SC.

We bowed out of the Hungarian Cup with our heads held high against ZTE on Tuesday; only 80 seconds separated us from stopping a third NB I team in the competition. Although the match ended painfully for us, we can draw strength from that heroic battle for the league campaign. Following Vasas's Monday defeat – even though they won in Székesfehérvár – our fate is back in our own hands: if we win our remaining four league matches, we will celebrate the title. Since Kecskemét recorded a convincing victory on Sunday, mathematically even a win would not yet guarantee promotion, but it would represent another huge step towards it, as with three rounds remaining we would restore the nine-point gap between the two teams, which is also equal to the maximum number of points still available in the remaining rounds.

Thanks to improved form in recent weeks, our opponents have climbed out of the relegation zone, but they have not yet secured their NB II status. Because of Budafok's victory, the team from District XXIII are now only one point above the line, although they are unbeaten in their last three league matches. Before last round's win over Budafok, they earned a point in Székesfehérvár and beat an in-form BVSC at home. Soroksár have the second-worst away record this season: the yellow-and-blacks have won only once on the road and have gone 12 away matches without victory. The club changed coach in the winter after eight and a half years, with Gábor Korolovszky replacing Péter Lipcsei; in 13 competitive matches so far, he has recorded four wins, four draws and five defeats.

Supporter information:

  • The match kicks off at 20:00 on Monday, April 27 at the Bozsik Arena.
  • The online ticketing platform is already open for the match, while tickets can also be purchased in person at the Honvéd Shop.
  • On matchdays the Honvéd Shop opens 3.5 hours before kick-off, but tickets are sold only at the Bozsik Arena ticket offices.
  • Important information: under the MLSZ disciplinary ruling, sectors B3-B4-B5 will be closed. Season-ticket holders for these sectors (B3-B4-B5) may therefore take their places in sectors B6-B7. In addition, supporters can purchase tickets for sectors B1, B2, B6 and B7, both online and at the ticket office.
  • Gates open at 19:00.
  • Under the MLSZ disciplinary ruling, our club also received a six-month suspended sector closure for sector B5 following the match played in Tiszakécske on April 5 because of discriminatory supporter behaviour. We therefore strongly ask everyone to support the team in a sporting manner — without discriminatory or racist expressions — and to refrain from bringing pyrotechnic devices, so that at our next home match against Vasas we can support the team at full capacity, without restrictions, and help them to victory.
  • The match will be broadcast live by M4 Sport.

Looking at our NB II head-to-head history, we first visited the Budapest side in September 2023, when Dávid Holman answered Balázs Lovrencsics's goal from the penalty spot to make the final score 1–1. In March 2024 we hosted Soroksár and produced an excellent performance to win 4–1. Bence Nyitrai opened the scoring, Kerezsi struck twice, and our fourth goal was scored by Attila Lőrinczy, who also found the net against Soroksár in August, although on that occasion we lost 3–1.

Honvéd–Soroksár 4–1 (highlights)

Our most recent home match against Soroksár was highly memorable: Alex Szabó's early goal gave us the lead, Soroksár then turned the game around in the second half, but we still found a way back. First Króner's own goal brought us level, then Kevin Kántor's spectacular overhead kick secured a 3–2 victory.

We have already faced the yellow-and-blacks twice this season. On November 2 it was Csontos who sent us into ecstasy, his last-minute volley bringing all three points back to Kispest.

Soroksár SC - Budapest Honvéd FC 0-1 (0-0), Merkantil Bank Liga, Round 12 - highlights

Most recently, in January, we hosted Soroksár in our first match of 2026. Their current head coach Gábor Korolovszky also made his debut on the bench in that friendly. The visitors led at half-time through Gálfi, but a brace from Dominik Földi turned the match around for us.
