Honvéd BKE played away in Hidegkút in Round 20 of the Old Boys championship. The team travelled under difficult circumstances, with almost an entire squad's worth of players missing. Despite the absence of Komora, Csaba Tóth, Bábik, Kamber, Lannert, Andric, Youla, Lázár and Patkó, our side took the field hoping for victory. In the 20th minute, however, the hosts went in front with a header and held the lead until the 56th minute. Then, after a scramble following a corner, our team first struck the post before Trembulyák fired the rebound into the net from five metres. The draw did not truly reflect the balance of play because Honvéd created a host of chances but failed to convert them. After taking the lead, Hidegkút were clearly intent on protecting the result, but under the sustained pressure it seemed only a matter of time before our side scored. The extent of our dominance is shown by the fact that Plókai barely touched the ball in the second half. Among our rivals, both Ferencváros and MTK won. With two rounds left, our lead over the green-and-whites is therefore six points.
