Gábor Kovács handed two players their debuts in the match: Alexander Tóth started in goal and made his first appearance for Honvéd II, while Mihály Igricz came on in the 80th minute to become another debutant.
Just under twenty minutes in, the hosts took the lead through D’Urso Giuliano (1-0). Honvéd could have responded quickly in the 20th minute: Kenéz combined with László down the right, and Menyhárt fired the resulting cross wide. Six minutes later the Pesterzsébet side scored again, this time Desnica played a low pass in from the left to Bence Soós, the group's leading scorer, who made no mistake from close range (2-0). We did not have to wait long for the reply. Once again we threatened down the right, Sebe's cross was glanced goalwards by Kenéz, and after the ball came off a block, Máté László placed it into the bottom-right corner from close range (2-1). After the break, a dangerous flick from an ESMTK corner went wide, while at the other end Dominik Hancz had the equaliser at his feet, but the home defenders threw themselves in front of his shot. In the 73rd minute the Pesterzsébet side restored their two-goal lead when Tamás Molnár headed a right-sided corner under the bar. Soon afterwards the team in red rattled the crossbar from a free-kick, but they could not put the game to bed, leaving the closing stages open. In the 86th minute Benkő headed in beautifully to bring us back into the match (3-2), but we could not find an equaliser.
Our second team will end the season at home against Szolnok in a week's time.
