The winter preparation period has also begun for Honvéd II. Contrary to the original schedule, we played our first pre-season match not against SZAC but against Slovan Bratislava U19, who reached the main stage of the UEFA Youth League in the autumn.
The match was effectively decided in the first half. In the 11th minute Kristóf Kenéz was fouled inside the penalty area and the player himself confidently converted the spot kick (1-0). Four minutes later came Kispest's second goal. This time we attacked down the right, László Benkő crossed from near the byline and Máté László arrived perfectly in the middle to glance the ball into the right side of the net (2-0). In the 35th minute Szilveszter Hetyei carried the ball at the defenders from the left before smashing our third goal under the bar with his right foot (3-0). The visitors managed only to hit the post in the second half, Gábor Megyeri had little to do, while we also had chances to increase our advantage. The score remained unchanged during the second 45 minutes, meaning that, just like the senior side, our second team recorded a three-goal victory over the visitors from Bratislava.
A video highlights package of the match will soon be available on our YouTube channel. Our team will next play TF on Saturday, 25 January.
