The Hungarian U19 national football team won the tournament in Serbia commemorating the late great player and coach Stevan Vilotić without defeat.

Máté Gerliczki's team arrived in Topolya last Wednesday, and with Tamás Somogyi and Erik Kovács in the squad, they won the opening match of the Vilotić Tournament right away: our boys secured a 2–1 victory against Romania, with the decisive goal scored in the 91st minute. Ádám Nyers started the match, but had to be substituted due to an injury in the 52nd minute, replaced by Erik Kovács, who is currently on loan at Székesfehérvár, while Tamás Somogyi entered the pitch in the 66th minute.

Following Saturday's match, Bulgaria awaited the youth side. This time, Tamás Somogyi was in the starting lineup, while head coach Máté Gerliczki counted on Erik Kovács, who came on as a substitute in the 10th minute, alongside Teó Balázs, also on loan at Videoton FC Fehérvár. Hungary took the lead through Erik Kovács, but the Bulgarians managed to equalize before halftime, resulting in a 1–1 draw.

Our team thus went into the tournament's final match against Serbia with one win and one draw. The national team produced a splendid performance to earn a 4–0 victory over the hosts: besides Ádám Zubor, Bence Rab, and Zsombor Varga, Erik Kovács once again got his name on the scoresheet. With two wins and a draw, the U19 national team finished atop the Vilotić Tournament undefeated and deservedly celebrated the tournament victory.
