We are delighted to announce that our academy graduate István Pekár has extended his contract with the club by two years.
The midfielder, a multiple youth international, played a key role in our team this season. Although illness and injury both hindered him during the campaign, he made 20 league appearances and also featured in three Hungarian Cup matches, with his performances clearly establishing him as one of the key players in midfield.
Pekár demonstrated his versatility in several important moments. He scored the winning goal away to Vasas, while in the home return fixture he contributed two assists to the victory over the Angyalföld side. He also registered an assist in the 5–2 win against Mezőkövesd. Our academy graduate has so far made a total of 65 competitive appearances for the first team and, despite his young age, has already gained significant experience in the club's colours.
We are proud that István Pekár will continue to strengthen our club, and we trust that he will continue to play a key role in our team's success in the years ahead.
