At the ceremony organised by the Golden Team Committee, welcoming speeches will be delivered by Zoltán Lomnici Sr, president of the committee, and Péter Gajda, mayor of Kispest. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, will also attend the event.
The statue unveiling pays tribute to the entire life’s work of József Bozsik, who was a defining figure at club level for Kispesti AC and Budapesti Honvéd and, as a key member of the Golden Team, wrote his name into Hungarian and world football history. As an Olympic champion and exceptionally talented midfielder, he left an enduring mark on the history of the sport. The statue creates a permanent memorial to the golden age of Hungarian football and to the legacy left by József Bozsik.
The event will be held outdoors at the Bozsik Aréna (1194 Budapest, Puskás Ferenc Street 1–3) and will provide a fitting commemoration of one of the greatest figures in the history of the club and Hungarian football.
Everyone is warmly welcome!
