The visitors took an early lead following a throw-in: Balázs launched the ball into the middle, and after Szekér's flick-on, Bányai broke free from his marker and fired into the bottom-right corner from a few metres out (0-1). After the goal, we had two big chances to equalise. In both the 11th and 15th minutes, Engedi had to get a hand to Benkő's shots; on the latter occasion the ball kept rolling and the visiting defence had to clear it off the goal line. There were few dangerous opportunities in the remainder of the half: Ene had to clear for a corner from the mouth of the goal once, while at the other end Benkő volleyed over.
Barely ten minutes of the second half had passed when the visitors doubled their lead from a set piece. Substitute Kornél Tamás sent in a corner, Valencsik headed it back across goal at the far post, and Csáki nodded into the net from a few metres out (0-2). The two-goal gap did not last long, however: in the 64th minute our successful press produced a gift, Szilveszter Hetyei pounced on Tamás's inaccurate back-pass and made no mistake one-on-one with Engedi (1-2). After pulling one back, we reached the opposition goal several times, but Tiszakécske found the net late on. After Zámbó drove forward, Tamás Takács fought his way into a shooting position amid several defenders and his low effort found the net, sealing the match and sending Tiszakécske to the top of the group with the win.
Gábor Kovács's side will head on a tour of the southern Great Plain next week, playing away at Tiszaföldvár on Wednesday and at Szeged on Sunday.
