Tomás Tujvel joined our team at the end of August 2019 and was able to celebrate a Hungarian Cup triumph in his very first year – in that campaign, our goalkeeper, who also holds Hungarian citizenship, played in 26 league matches and eight cup games. We most recently signed a one-year contract with him one season ago.
“For me, Honvéd is one big family. Kispest is completely different from my previous clubs and means a great deal to me” – he told our official website a few months ago.
Taking all competitions into account, ‘Tuki’ has guarded our goal in 112 competitive matches so far. This season he once again delivered reliable performances between the posts: he kept five clean sheets in 16 league appearances and even saved a penalty in the victory over Békéscsaba before being substituted (he was replaced in the 87th minute by our academy player Zsombor Liziczay, who was only 16 (!) years old).
