On Friday our team – now under the direction of Tamás Feczkó – began preparations for the spring season, continuing work today with higher-intensity training. Fitness coach Krisztián Szabados has left our club and has been replaced by Péter Tepliczky. The specialist previously worked at Diósgyőr, III. Kerület, the MTK Academy and Vasas Kubala Akadémia, among others, while the Honvéd environment is also familiar to him: in 2019 he worked in Kispest as a youth head coach.
Our team will play several friendlies in January, all three at home at the Magyar Futball Akadémia, while the players are also expected to take to the pitch three times in Turkey.
First, on Saturday at 13.00, we host second-division leaders Kozármisleny in a match behind closed doors in Kispest. A week later Slovan Bratislava's second team will visit under similar circumstances, while Komárom will 'round off' the academy matches on 24 January.
Our team will board the plane on Saturday. In Turkey we first face Kosovo top-flight leaders KF Drita on Monday the 27th, then Serbian side Jedinstvo on Wednesday. We will provide updates on the matches on our official website.
