Our second team hosted BKV Előre at the Honvéd Academy in Round 24 of the NB III South-East Group.
We took the lead in the very first minute. After a cross from the left, Köcse punched the ball only as far as Hetyei , who volleyed first time into the top-right corner (1–0). Our forward had now scored in all seven of his spring league appearances. Our team continued to produce attractive attacks, though without creating another clear chance. In the 11th minute Papp Lőrinc saved Szilágyi's shot, while at the other end Benkő's low effort went just wide of the bottom-right corner. Gábor Híres's side then created several chances, Kerék first finding the side-netting and three minutes later heading a ball from the left wide of the goal.
Around the half-hour mark Szakszon's shot flashed wide of the bottom-right corner. The visitors equalised late in the first half after Kocsis brought down Kubó inside the penalty area. Kerék rolled the resulting penalty into the bottom-left corner (1–1).
Our team created far more chances in the second half. In the 50th minute, after a corner, Hetyei volleyed goalwards but Bence Köcse saved with his foot.
In the 73rd minute Kocsis won the ball in the opposition half and immediately released Hetyei, who, clean through against the goalkeeper, rolled narrowly wide. Five minutes later Dominik Kovács also had a huge chance, but our forward lifted the ball over from six metres. Kállai then drove forward at pace and aimed for the bottom-right corner from sixteen metres; the shot deflected off a visiting defender and went narrowly wide. From the resulting corner, BKV Előre's defenders headed Gergely Kocsis's effort off the goal line. A few seconds later Kocsis this time side-footed the ball goalwards, but Köcse collected it, before after a fine move Hetyei just failed to connect with Dominik Kovács's ball across goal.
The stream of missed chances came back to haunt us in the 84th minute when Bence Reizer powered a header from a left-sided corner into the top-left corner to turn the match around for BKV Előre (1–2).
In stoppage time Papp Lőrinc still had to save a shot from Mile.
There was still one final twist in the last minute. Milencovici's free-kick found our goalkeeper Papp Lőrinc, whose header rebounded off the onrushing Köcse into the path of substitute Kovács Dominik, who fired into the net from eight metres. Three yellow-shirted defenders on the goal line were unable to clear (2–2).
With goals in the first and final minutes, our team therefore kept one point at home against BKV Előre and can now prepare for next Sunday's match in Pesterzsébet.
