Cold weather and an icy wind greeted the teams as they took the field. Our side immediately took control of the game and started well; it was only a matter of time before we scored the opening goal. Even so, it took half an hour to break down the visitors' defence, through Rajz. Six minutes later Youla found the net, and a minute after that Bárányos also scored against the visitors.
After the break the goals started to flow. Youla was in his element, converting two penalties and also scoring a spectacular goal that went in off both posts. After we had taken a six-goal lead, Haraszti pulled one back through Hegyes. Our side then went on the rampage again, scoring another four goals in nine minutes. First Youla, then Csaba Tóth, then Youla again and finally Trembulyák found the visitors' net. Late in the match, Bérces set the final score at 10-2.
The margin was not flattering, because in addition to the goals we created several other chances, hit the woodwork, and the Haraszti goalkeeper also saved four one-on-ones.
MTK and FTC both did what was expected and collected all three points, so the order in the table remains unchanged. Honvéd BKE are top, four points ahead of MTK and six ahead of Ferencváros.
