Our club has signed the 22-year-old player on a two-year contract.

We are delighted to announce that our club has signed Ákos Zuigeber. The young attacking midfielder developed in the youth systems of Újpest and then MTK Budapest, and during that period his performances earned him youth international call-ups at several age levels. He signed a professional contract with the blue-and-whites in 2019, before going on loan to Dorog, Budafok and Szeged. Last season he again played for Budafok, recording four goals and five assists in 25 matches.

"I am very happy to be here! I feel I have joined a very good environment and my teammates have welcomed me well. I have arrived with big goals: I want to play a lot and win as many matches as possible. First of all, we now have a pre-season ahead of us, which will give everyone the fitness needed to perform as well as possible during the season.

I am fully aware of the great history of the club I have joined. I will respect this club with every fibre of my being. There are players in the dressing room who have been my teammates before. I played with Ákos Baki at MTK; I know Alex Szabó and Dominik Csontos from the youth national teams, and I also know Dominik Földi and Gellért Dúzs."

Welcome to Kispest, Ákos!

At the same time, we have terminated the contract of our striker Zalán Átrok by mutual consent.

Átrok left his hometown club Kecskemét for Honvéd in July 2020, before becoming a key member of our U16 side. One season later he featured for three MFA teams, making appearances not only at U17 and U19 level but also his debut for our NB III team. In Dabas he came on as a substitute and marked his senior debut with the winning goal.

He made his first top-flight league appearance in February 2023, in round 19 of the OTP Bank Liga under Dean Klafuric, fittingly against Kecskemét. He finished with 10 league appearances in total and started once, in the final round against Puskás Akadémia. In the 2023/24 season injuries restricted him to just six appearances, while in the autumn he played in eight league matches and scored twice.

As is known, Átrok spent the past half-season with autumn leaders Kozármisleny, where Máté Pinezits mostly counted on him as a starter; he scored one goal. Átrok will continue his career with top-flight MTK Budapest.

We wish you every success in your future career, Zalán!
