In the most eagerly awaited match of round 11 of the Merkantil Bank Liga, we beat Mezőkövesd Zsóry FC 5–2. One of our key players was Ákos Zuigeber, who scored twice. Our forward found the net with two headers and moved to the top of the scoring chart with seven goals. We spoke to him after the match.
"I think we played the way we did in the first three rounds, and that was the decisive factor. This time we really functioned and looked like a team: everyone fought for one another and we were able to respond to goals with goals of our own. It was very important that the own goal did not unsettle us and that we were able to score our second so quickly afterward."
"I had some extra motivation in me. I wanted to show that they can still count on me even if I was left out of the starting line-up for one match. I handled it completely well and approached the work in the right way. There is competition for places in every team, this squad is made up of good players, and you have to fight to get into the starting eleven. This was a successful week."
We then also asked our leading scorer about Thursday’s Hungarian Cup opponents, Debreceni VSC, who beat Újpest 5–2.
"Let’s play a 5–5! Joking aside, it will be a very difficult but very good match. We will have our chances; we need to take them, and then qualification can be ours!"
