Following a seven-goal victory over Szegedi VSE and a 2–2 draw against defending champions Monor, István Körtvélyesi's team continued their campaign away from home at Szolnoki MÁV FC. Our second team last visited Szolnok in December 2024, when we returned home with a 2–0 victory and all three points.
There were no goals in the first half, so the sides went into the break level. A single goal late in the second half then decided the destination of the three points: Milán Iván scored for the hosts, meaning we were unable to take a point from Szolnok.
Our second team will next be in action at 11:00 on Sunday, September 20, when we host Újpest FC II at the academy in Round 8.

István Körtvélyesi, head coach:
“In the first half, in terms of chances, it was perhaps an even game, but we created the more dangerous opportunities. Regardless, it was positive that both teams tried to play quality football. Our defending was organised, but it lacked aggression. In the second half we came out with a completely different approach and quality. I think we should have won the match because we had countless opportunities. Our opponents scored a fortunate goal after a run, which once again stemmed from our own mistake. Overall, I think that in the short time we have been working together, our organisation has improved to an appropriate level. We are building our play well and have significantly increased the number of quality attacks. We need to improve our individual efficiency, and we will definitely use the coming week to work on that."
