Our second team hosted third-placed ESMTK in a postponed Round 14 fixture in the NB III South-East group.
Neither side managed to create a really big chance in the opening half-hour, with play mostly taking place in midfield. In the 31st minute Slezák cut inside from the right and aimed for the far corner with his left foot, but his attempt went well wide of our goal. A minute later it was our turn to threaten. Sebe curled the ball into the danger area from the right, the Pesterzsébet defence only headed it partially clear, Pintér pounced on the opportunity and, after taking a touch, fired into the far corner. (1-0) It was our player's fourth goal of the season. The score did not change before the break, so we went into half-time with a one-goal lead.
It took only a minute and a half of the second half for the first Kispest chance, when Polák drove into the penalty area from the right and fired a low ball across the middle, but visiting goalkeeper Péter Gábor rushed out well to claim it. In the 67th minute Koppány Kis had a chance to score, curling towards the far corner from seven metres but missing the target. A few minutes later Benkő's right-footed shot took a deflection off the visitors' defensive wall and flew just wide of the right side of the goal.
Not long afterwards substitute Hancz broke forward down the left and found himself in a shooting position, but fired narrowly wide of the bottom right corner. Márk Gyetván was called into action for the first time in the 75th minute, comfortably holding a visiting header, but the final ten minutes then turned into a nightmare. Slezák went down inside the penalty area under pressure from Gáspár and referee Maml awarded a penalty, which the fouled player placed into the bottom right corner. (1-1) ESMTK were awarded another penalty in the 88th minute, this time after Kis pulled back Kubó, and Slezák made no mistake again – this time choosing the other side. (1-2) To make matters worse, the visitors missed another huge chance late on, while we could no longer equalise in stoppage time, ending our five-match home winning streak.
This was our final home game of the year. Our second team will travel to Hódmezővásárhely on Sunday and then to Szolnok on December 1.
