An exciting match is in prospect, as under Gábor Kovács our team has won every home game so far, comprising three league matches and two friendlies. This time, however, the leaders Gyula, who are still unbeaten away from home, visit us in round 11.
What you should know about our opponents:
- Gyulai Termál FC was founded in 1920. Their best result came in 1981, when they finished runners-up in the NB II Eastern Group.
- Gyula have won eight of their ten league matches so far this season and have lost only once.
- Our opponents are unbeaten away from home and are on a run of five consecutive league wins.
- Last season Gyula won 25 of 27 league matches in the Békés County First Division, then secured promotion by successfully coming through a play-off against Bánk-Dalnoki Akadémia.
- Gyula strengthened well in the summer, signing what amounts to an entire starting XI from last season's fourth-placed Körösladány. The Körösladány club ceased operations in June, and Gyula signed eleven players who had represented Körösladány last season.
- The head coach also arrived from Körösladány. After promotion, Attila Ekker replaced Gábor Brlázs on the Gyula bench, having been Körösladány's head coach last season.
Our second team will meet Gyula for the first time in an NB III league match, and neither squad contains a player who has represented both clubs during his career.
We have kept clean sheets in our last two matches and most recently drew 0-0 away to BKV Előre. Gábor Kovács will be without the suspended Szilveszter Hetyei, who was sent off in the league match in Józsefváros.
We will broadcast the match live on our YouTube channel, while admission at the venue is free.
