We took the lead as early as the fifth minute: Polák swung the ball across from the right and Zalán Átrok headed it into the left corner. After a quarter of an hour came Gyula's first more dangerous opportunity, when Zelenyánszky brought down the ball after a corner from the left and shot towards the near post, but Gyetván saved. Neither side managed to create a serious chance for much of the remainder of the half, but just before the break came a scare: after a Gyula corner the referee spotted a foul by Gergely Kocsis and pointed to the spot. János Csicsely took the penalty, but Márk Gyetván read the shot towards the right corner and brilliantly pushed it behind for a corner, allowing us to go into the break in front.
After the restart the visitors tried their luck from a good 25 metres, but Gyetván tipped Malkócs's shot over. Gyula then began to create the more dangerous situations, although the biggest chance still fell to us: in the 70th minute Koppány Kis released Benkő into open space, he sprinted with the ball to the penalty area and then squared for Menyhárt, who took a touch and aimed for the bottom right, but Füstös made the save. A few minutes later Benkő got into a promising position on the left, but Péter Szabó managed to clear at the last moment. In the 81st minute our winger finally got his goal: Gyula failed to clear inside the box and Benkő fired right-footed into the right corner. Only three minutes later the home crowd could celebrate another Benkő goal, as Somogyi sent our substitute forward racing down the left with the outside of his boot, and he beautifully lifted the ball with his right foot over Füstös into the right side of the net. Our team did not stop there: from the left, Koppány Kis put Máté Pintér clean through, and he placed the fourth Kispest goal past Füstös into the Gyula net. There was even a chance for a fifth, with Koppány Kis weaving through the visiting defenders before setting up Benkő arriving on the right, but Füstös came off his line at just the right moment.
Under Gábor Kovács, our second team therefore kept its perfect home record intact, while Sunday's victory ended leaders Gyula's unbeaten away run. In a week's time we continue the league campaign at home again, against Csepel.
