Our 17-year-old forward Hanna Alasz returned to action after a long lay-off, making her Honvéd debut in the league match against DVTK. We asked our young player about her comeback, the match against Astra HFC and her call-up to the Hungary U19 squad.

Hanna Alasz joined our club from Viktória FC this summer, but the 17-year-old forward has been through a difficult period after an anterior cruciate ligament tear kept her out of action last season. Hanna had already made her debut for Honvéd at U19 level and immediately contributed five goals to her team's victory in the season opener against BVSC-Zugló. Our forward made her debut in Balázs Dörnyei's side against DVTK and also appeared in the midweek round against PAFC.

“I first got my chance with the U19 team, where I played one half and fortunately managed to score some goals as well. Obviously my goal was to make my debut for the senior team too, but because of the injury that had not been possible. I am very happy that I could make my debut against Diósgyőr. I think I managed to do what Balázs asked of me there. I also got on the pitch against Felcsút; my aim was to repay the trust and help the team with the best performance I could. I spent exactly 423 days on the sidelines and it was very difficult to watch from there, but it was an incredible experience and at the same time a liberating feeling to be back on the pitch. With team-mates like these and in a team like this, I really could not imagine anything better” – our player summed up.

As is known, our women's team recorded a two-goal victory over PAFC in the midweek round, giving them a successful build-up to Sunday's league match against Astra HFC. Our player stressed that they had come through a difficult match, but the team did everything for the win.

“It was a really intense match. I did not play for very long, but even during the time I was on the pitch I got very tired. I think the whole team gave everything and we deserved to win. We are preparing for Astra in exactly the same way as for any other team, and the main objective is to get the three points.”
