In last year's meetings between the two sides, we suffered a 1–0 defeat away and a 5–0 defeat at home. There has been a change in the head coach position at our opponents: Tibor Székely has departed, with János Süle taking charge on an interim basis.
ETO have failed to win their last three matches and drew 1–1 with PAFC in the previous round. We currently sit ninth in the table with five points: one win, two draws and two defeats. Most recently we lost a close match away at Diósgyőr.
An added twist is that our current head coach Balázs Dörnyei previously managed our opponents and won the Hungarian Cup with them on four occasions. From our squad, Fanni Vachter, Nikolett Krizsan and Simona Horváthová have all previously played for the Győr club.
