Our team got off to a flying start: Youla found the back of the net in the 6th minute, followed by Kamber in the 15th. A fantastic start, securing a two-goal lead inside the first quarter of an hour! The joy was short-lived, however, as we ultimately had to settle for a draw instead of a win.
Our side continued to create opportunities, but unfortunately failed to capitalize on them. Ferencváros also threatened on several occasions, but Danilovic was in sparkling form guarding the Kispest goal. In the 36th minute, the well-performing Gábor Kovács suffered an injury and was replaced by Zoltán Máj. Before the interval, the hosts pulled one back. It looked as though Honvéd would leave Népliget with all three points when the final minutes produced drama rarely seen. In the 80th minute, Kamber and Youla bore down on goal opposed by just a single defender. However, the golden opportunity went begging, and to make matters worse, the Green-and-Whites equalized in stoppage time.
Among our rivals, MTK were not in action, while Pénzügyőr won their fixture. Pénzügyőr lead the table with 19 points. Honvéd BKE and FTC sit in second place tied on 13 points each, although our team has played one game fewer.
