Draw against Szeged

The two teams have already played both of their league matches against each other this season, so from now on they can only meet in friendlies.

In the first half of the match we lined up with our 'B' team. Our new signing Sydney Koszo, who arrived from Szeged, made her debut, while Korina Ramor also played for the first time, on trial. Korina joined us from Komárno and has been training with the team for a week; there is a good chance she will remain with Honvéd.

The match was played at a high tempo, with many technical errors on both sides, and chances mainly came from set pieces.

In the second half – just as in the previous friendly – our key players also came onto the pitch. There were a few more dangerous situations at both ends, but no goal was scored, so our friendly against Szeged ended 0-0.

Our player Eliza Nagy assessed the match as follows: „Unfortunately the result was 0-0, but everyone fought very hard. In the first half we had more of the ball, played as a team, fought for one another and helped each other throughout on the pitch. In the second half we were more scattered, so we missed many situations that could have led to a goal. Personally, I was very happy to spend a lot of time on the pitch and help strengthen my team. I trust that our hard training will bear fruit and we will achieve better and better results.”

This week we will face Szent Mihály again, on Saturday from 13:00 at the Szent Gellért Fórum.
