The battle of the two newcomers produced a hard-fought match, with both teams competing for fifth place in the table. The game started badly for us, as an unfortunate back-pass led to an own goal in the very first minute, giving the visitors the lead (0–1).
That mistake affected our team for a while, but a few minutes later we were already enjoying more possession. In the 12th minute Csuhai equalised from a corner situation, so we went into half-time level at 1–1.
In the second half we saw an evenly matched contest, but no further goals were scored.
Eliza Nagy’s assessment after the match: "After conceding in the first minute, I’m very proud of my teammates because we didn’t drop our heads or give up; we kept fighting. And it paid off because we equalised. At the start of the second half we slowed down a little, but then found our rhythm again and created many chances. Unfortunately, we were unable to finish those attacks with a goal. I hope we will win the next match."
In the next round, on April 19 at 15:00, we host PAFC at the Honvéd-MFA Youth Centre.
