An important stage of our pre-season was the friendly against Serbian top-flight side Topolya, in which the Honvéd women's team faced a very well-organised opponent playing in a typical South Slavic style.
After the match, head coach Balázs Dörnyei gave the following assessment:
“We played against a very well-prepared team with a South Slavic style, and the match served our preparation extremely well. Every player who took the field performed well, and it was especially pleasing that we functioned as a team from the very first minute. That is particularly important because we are practically building a new side. We were able to play a very valuable match, and we wish Topolya every success in the league.”
