István Körtvélyesi's side hosted Csepel SC at the academy on Sunday. Our team found themselves in a difficult position early on following the dismissal of Álmos Horváth, but despite being a man down, took the lead in the 23rd minute through Kristóf Kenéz. However, we could not celebrate the advantage for long, as two minutes later Péter Ignácz equalized for the visitors, sending the teams into the break tied at 1–1. After the restart, we created several promising opportunities, but playing with ten men and the resulting fatigue increasingly took their toll; Csepel capitalized and took the lead in the 55th minute. Although István Körtvélyesi made several changes to freshen up the side, Ignácz struck once again in the closing stages to seal the victory.
An away trip awaits our team in the next round: on Saturday at 13:00, we will battle for league points away to Hódmezővásárhelyi FC.

István Körtvélyesi, head coach:
"Unfortunately, the match didn't unfold as we had expected. The early red card completely altered the course of the game. Up until the dismissal, and surprisingly even afterwards, we played with great quality and dominance, creating good chances. Down to ten men, we even scored from open play, and we were denied a clear penalty. In the second half we tried to inject fresh energy with substitutions, but by then the game became more balanced. We had several promising opportunities again in the second half, but the players' energy began to fade. Playing for 70 minutes with ten men at such a high level, without it being evident from the outside that we were outnumbered, is a huge achievement! I feel that bad luck haunts us every single week. You simply cannot compensate for this many decisions going against us and individual errors through play and organization alone. Our overall play is in very good shape; we need to capitalize on our chances, and then we will move forward. This is part of a process right now, and that's how we must evaluate it!"
