We started the match in line with expectations, enjoying more possession and building plenty of attacks, and we did not have to wait long for our opening goal: in the 16th minute, Vivien Csuhai put our team ahead following a situation after a free kick (0-1). In the final minute of the half, Karla Kurkutovic missed a penalty, so Honvéd took a 1-0 lead into the break.
After the restart, our new player Laura Gabona finished confidently to make it 2-0. Interestingly, Gabona was still playing for Astra last year. We began to dominate more and more, while the Üllő side posed very little threat. In the 76th minute our third goal came from a corner, with Adrienn Végh finding the net (0-3) to set the final score.
Adrienn Végh, midfielder: „I think we were more disciplined tactically than in the previous match.. Mentally we were a little scattered at the start, but as time went on everyone pulled themselves together. We had a huge number of chances in both the first and second halves, and managed to convert three of them. Next week we will try to correct the mistakes that remain and win again.”
In the next round of the Simple Women's League, we host Viktória FC at the Honvéd-MFA Youth Centre from 14:30 on Sunday.
