Just like last week, the match did not start well for us: in the 10th minute PAFC, fighting for a place in the championship final, took the lead through Sydney Koszo’s own goal (1–0).
The team from Felcsút controlled possession throughout and had several big chances in the first half. Our most promising opportunity came in the 45th minute through Karla Kurkutovic, but neither team scored again, so we went into the break with the hosts leading 1–0.
PAFC continued to dominate in the second half, and in the 50th minute Zsófia Mayer made it 2–0. PAFC repeatedly put our goal under heavy pressure, but they did not score again until added time, when Zsóka Tóth completed the scoring in the 93rd minute to seal a 3–0 win for the hosts.
Sydney Koszo’s assessment after the match: “I’m very proud of the team – everyone worked hard, and you can clearly see that we are starting to come together. It was a tough match that demanded constant effort, and although we made a few mistakes that led to simple goals, there are still many things we can be proud of. There are three matches left in the season, and I’m sure that if we keep working this hard, continue improving and developing, we can pick up points.”
In the next round, on April 28 at 18:00, we host Győr at the Bozsik Arena.
