On Sunday morning our second team once again hosted a Budapest side, this time III. Kerület.
We did not have to wait long for the first chance. Early in the third minute Petrók received the ball in space on the right. Although the blue-shirted defenders recovered, he still managed to shoot from a tight angle, but Hajagos saved at the near post. We continued to have more shots, while the Óbuda side created few chances. In the 38th minute Martin Szabó mishit the ball after a lofted pass, causing no danger to Dúzs’s goal, so the teams went into half-time at 0–0. In the 57th minute danger developed in front of our goal following a Bekker cross from the left, but Tímári’s first-time shot missed the top-right corner. Two minutes later Pálvölgyi sent a low effort towards the far bottom corner but missed the target. In the 90th minute we had one more chance to score the winner from a free-kick, but Hajagos got down to the near bottom corner, so the match ended goalless.
Our second team continue their South-East Group campaign in a week’s time away to Tiszaföldvár.
