Attila Plókai is Honvéd BKE’s secret weapon: whenever needed, he serves his side as a defender, midfielder, or even as a goalkeeper. This time against Hidegkúti SC, the coaching staff called upon him between the posts, and he executed his task flawlessly, keeping a clean sheet throughout the match.
After suffering a 4–3 defeat against Kelen SC in the opening round, our side bounced back with a 7–1 win last week and followed it up with another commanding victory. The two teams were in completely different leagues: Honvéd played sensational football, creating chances one after another and scoring at will. The margin of victory could easily have reached double figures, as our players missed numerous opportunities on top of the eight goals.
Kamber opened the scoring in the 8th minute, and Youla also got his name on the scoresheet in the 17th minute. The first half ended with a two-goal lead for Kispest, though it was already evident that more goals would flow after the break. Following the restart, Youla struck twice within just two minutes. Shortly after, Gábor Kovács and then Balázs Sinkó added to the tally. In the closing stages of the match, both Kamber and Youla found the net once more, meaning the latter netted four goals, just as he did in the previous round.
Among the rivals, Pénzügyőr claimed an away victory, MTK suffered a heavy defeat on the road, while Ferencváros shared the points with Dunaharaszti. The table is topped by Pénzügyőr with 10 points, followed by Honvéd, Ferencváros, and Kelen SC with 6 points each. However, both Honvéd and Kelen SC have played one game fewer.
