Our women's team hosted fifth-placed Diósgyőr, who had caused a major surprise in the previous round by beating defending champions Ferencváros 1-0. In the first competitive meeting between the two teams, play was mostly concentrated in midfield and the contest was evenly balanced. Neither side managed to create a major chance in the first half, so we went into the break with the score at 0-0.
After the restart, our women's team moved up a gear. In the 70th minute our side took full advantage of a defensive mistake by Diósgyőr and substitute Kós gave us the lead with her goal. (1-0) Diósgyőr looked for an immediate response, but our goalkeeper Pasar produced a huge save. Csuhai then had two more significant chances towards the end of the match, but there were no further goals. We beat DVTK 1-0 in a hard-fought, battling match and moved up the table as a result.
Our women's team will next play away at Szekszárd on Saturday, November 16 at 13:00.
