We ended the autumn season with a win

We visited seventh-placed Szeged in the final autumn round of the Simple Women's League. In the first competitive meeting between the two teams, in August, we lost 2-1 at home, so we had a score to settle. Saturday's match brought many duels, with both sides playing aggressively. In the 25th minute we took the lead through a long-range strike from Sipőcz and went into the break 1-0 up.

The pattern of the game did not change in the second half. We had more chances, but the match was mostly dominated by the battle, with neither team able to produce sustained flowing football. No more goals were scored, so we won 1-0 away to Szeged. After an excellent autumn season, as newcomers we can now look forward to the spring sitting fifth in the 12-team league.
