The home side came closer to scoring at the start of the match, with Megyeri having to save Annus's shot, which was Szolnok's most dangerous chance of the first half. We took the lead in the 39th minute when Zoltán Gincsai headed into the blue-and-whites' net following a corner. (0-1)
At the start of the second half Iván's header went just wide of our goal, and we punished the missed chance on the counter: Szilveszter Hetyei broke forward down the right, found himself one-on-one with Csáki, then calmly shot under the goalkeeper into the middle of the net. (0-2) No more goals followed, so our second team ended 2024 with a convincing victory. We will resume our third-tier campaign in March away to Pénzügyőr.
