Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:
“We controlled the match and won the ball frequently in the attacking third, but we were unable to turn those opportunities into goals. We still need to improve our finishing considerably. We have a tendency to become too comfortable during matches and allow circumstances to dictate how we play. Our objective in the next match is to maintain a high intensity for as long as possible.”
U17
Our U17 side suffered a 3–2 defeat against Slovenian opponents NK Maribor. Although goals from Hunor Hajagos and Botond Szabó gave us a one-goal lead at half-time, the hosts managed to turn the match around after the break.

István Körtvélyesi, head coach:
“For 30 minutes of the first half we enjoyed considerable dominance and our defending worked well. We consistently tried to build our attacks through combination play. Our opponents only managed to threaten us on transitions or by exploiting individual shortcomings. We scored two very fine goals. In the second half, however, there were demoralising individual mistakes that proved extremely difficult for us to handle as a team. Those errors had a decisive effect on the result, and our opponents were the ones celebrating at the end. I believe we let this match slip through our fingers. We repeatedly had serious problems with concentration, and we did not find the right balance in terms of individual responsibility and risk-taking.”
U16
After their 4–2 victory over Crvena Zvezda, Tamás Szamosi's players suffered a three-goal defeat away to Topolya. Our head coach emphasised that the team had played a fast-paced, intense match and gained valuable experience from it.

Tamás Szamosi, head coach:
“We played a high-tempo, intense match against another strong opponent. Naturally, we can be frustrated with the result, but we have absolutely no reason to be ashamed of our performance. Our opponents ruthlessly punished all three of the defensive errors that preceded their goals, and that is certainly an area in which we need to improve. At the same time, our attacking play created several opportunities that we could have turned into goals with better decision-making. We found ourselves completely through on goal against the goalkeeper three times in the first half and twice more after the break. Had we been more accurate and composed in those situations, the match could have turned out very differently. Despite the defeat, I saw many positives in the team's performance. Once again we had the chance to test ourselves against strong opponents, and these are the kinds of matches from which we learn the most. Every player gained valuable experience that we can build on in the future.”
U15
Djordje Kamber's side enjoyed a successful friendly, with our U15s beating NK Maribor 4–1. After a goalless first half, the goals began to flow: Miron Marte completed a hat-trick and József Mocsel added the other goal.

Djordje Kamber, head coach:
“We faced physically strong opponents with plenty of ability. From the opening minute we approached the match with the right level of concentration, motivation and intensity, and we managed to maintain that attitude right to the final whistle. We created numerous scoring opportunities throughout the match, but we were unable to convert them in the first half. We were more clinical after the break and scored four goals, which is certainly a positive. Naturally, conceding a goal leaves us with some disappointment, but overall we can be satisfied with the team's performance and attitude.”
