As is known, our women's team earned a 3–1 home victory over DVTK in Round 16 of the Simple Women's League. Our 17-year-old goalkeeper Nikolett Krizsan started at the Bozsik Arena after a long absence.

Although our team began the second half one goal behind, goals from Fanni Vachter, Eszter Czinege and Rebeka Róth ensured all three points stayed at home. Nikolett Krizsan returned to the starting line-up in goal after a long absence; before the DVTK match, her previous appearance had come in the autumn against PAFC. Our goalkeeper was injured in September during a national-team camp and faced several months out with a torn thigh muscle. She said the return was not easy, but it means a great deal to be able to help the team from the pitch again.

“I feel very good and I am very motivated. I am happy to have returned after such a long time. I suffered a muscle tear and had to miss a long period; on Saturday I played my first competitive match after more than half a year. The recovery was a little harder mentally, but my team-mates and the specialists were always there for me. Coming back was slightly difficult because in training I could feel how much time I had missed, but I feel better and better” – she said, before stressing that she was proud of the team for turning the match around from behind against Diósgyőr.

“The first half was not quite right; we found it difficult to get into the match, but the second half was much better. I am happy we managed to come back from behind and I am proud of the team.”

A busy week lies ahead for Balázs Dörnyei's team: on Wednesday they visit ETO FC, before hosting Újpest at the Bozsik Arena. Our player spent the previous three seasons with the green-and-whites, and therefore highlighted that returning to her former club provides extra motivation.

“I spent an important period there because that is where I played my first senior matches. It will be great to return and it gives me extra motivation, but it does not create any pressure. I prepare as I would for any other match and will do everything for the win. I expect a very good game because Győr are a strong opponent and will not make things easy for us. If we are just as united and take to the pitch with the same mentality as in our previous matches, I am sure we will get a good result.”
