We did not have to wait long for the opening goal, as Vivien Csuhai's shot bounced into the net off the crossbar. (1-0) Our foreign player Maja Hrelja scored the second, then Csuhai completed her brace before the end of the first half, giving us a 3-0 lead after 45 minutes.
After the break, our players shared the goals around nicely. Gabriella Kós also got her name on the scoresheet, then Adrienn Végh found the net, before Ráhel Váradi headed home our sixth and final goal to seal a convincing 6-0 home victory in our first pre-season match of the year.
Anna Nádudvari, who returned to the pitch after a short absence, gave her assessment: “We played after a long break and the first week was more about easing ourselves back in. Considering that, the team was well organised and we showed some nice elements on the pitch. Unfortunately, we still have players missing and some who have not yet returned, so we had a small squad for the match. We dominated from the first minute, scored early and maintained our momentum throughout the game. We were happy to be able to play again after such a long time. It was fine for a first match, but against stronger opponents we will need the same attitude and work if we want to improve.”
