The match did not start well for us. After an individual error, we were already behind in the 7th minute in the NB II South-East Group, where our second team were away to Kecskemét II. Honvéd then did more of the attacking: first Ádám Somogyi hit the post and shortly afterwards Pálfi had to make a big save, but we were unable to find the equaliser. Midway through the half, another mistake allowed the home side to double their lead, and in the final minute of the period a third error also crept in, so we went into the dressing room with a sizeable deficit. Our team improved in the second half and did everything possible to pull a goal back, but we were unable to score even from the penalty spot.
Zsolt Laczkó: — We produced the kind of performance in the first half with which you cannot even earn a point, let alone win. It was not that the opposition were irresistible or dominated us; we made individual mistakes that a team wanting to win simply must not make. I am thinking here of balls given away in front of goal and mistakes when playing out from the back. We played good football for the first 30 minutes of the second half and tried to reduce the deficit, but unfortunately we could not score even from a penalty. It was an unlucky day.
