As you know, our women’s team beat PMFC 1–0 away from home last Saturday. After our captain Sára Krisztin won a penalty, our Greek international Maria Palama converted from the spot to send us into the break a goal ahead. Although the hosts put our defence under pressure in the closing stages, we held on to our lead and returned from Pécs with three points. Balázs Dörnyei’s team now face a busy week: we host the side from Győr at the Bozsik Arena on Wednesday and travel to Újpest on Sunday. The green-and-whites have recorded convincing wins in the last two rounds, overcoming both DVTK and PAFC.

Győr’s women’s section was founded in 2001 and reached the Hungarian Cup final for the first time in 2017, when Ferencváros lifted the trophy. Our head coach Balázs Dörnyei previously worked with ETO FC Győr. Under his leadership, Győr’s women’s team quickly joined the leading sides and won four consecutive Hungarian Cups, bringing the coach’s total number of cup triumphs to ten. Although the green-and-whites finished as league runners-up four years in a row, they came third in the Simple Women’s League last season.
Our head-to-head record:
We have faced Győr seven times across all competitions but are still waiting for our first win. Our last encounter with ETO came in April in Matchday 17 of the Simple Women’s League. Although we went into half-time three goals down, Fanni Vachter and Gyöngyvér Szalay both scored after the break. We could not complete the comeback, however, and lost 3–2.
Our previous matches against ETO:
2026: ETO FC–Kispest–Honvéd FC 3–2 (Our scorers: Fanni Vachter, Gyöngyvér Szalay)
2025: Kispest–Honvéd FC–ETO FC 0–3
