U16
Our U16 team suffered a 4–2 defeat away to DVSC in Round 5 of the top-tier championship. Our boys started the match well, as Benedek Nyiri gave us the lead as early as the 2nd minute. Although the hosts managed to equalize, András Vass put our team back in front just two minutes later. After the break, however, Debrecen found the net three times, eventually keeping all three points at home with a two-goal victory.
Top-tier Championship, Round 5
DVSC–Kispest–Honvéd FC 4–2 (1–2)
Line-up: Komzsik – Józsa, Palásti, Szijjártó, Nyiri, Schill (Kovács N. 73'), Sólyom (Bolyki 54'), Vass, Gerebenes (Balázs P. 58'), Varga B., Unger
Our goalscorers: Nyiri (2'), Vass (26')
Tamás Szamosi, head coach: "We played remarkably well in the first half. Dangerous chances were created in front of both goals, and had we shown a bit more focus with our opportunities, the course of the match could have unfolded completely differently. Especially at 0–1, when we were denied a penalty after what seemed like an obvious foul to everyone, and then later the hosts were awarded a spot-kick that we felt was far less justified. In the second half we grew tired and couldn't maintain our concentration properly. The home side took advantage of this, so overall they deserved to win the game."
U15
Djordje Kamber's side was also on the road, this time taking on MTK Budapest. In the end, our boys suffered a four-goal defeat. Despite the hosts' early goals, we also had chances, but failed to convert them. Our head coach emphasized that we performed better in the second half and managed to score twice. At the same time, he added: we cannot afford to gift such easy goals to our opponents.
Top-tier Championship, Round 5
MTK Budapest–Kispest–Honvéd FC 6–2 (4–0)
Line-up: Mező (Monyók 51'), Karácsony (Babalola 51'), Oláh-Sebők, Gerencsér (Palaga 51'), Nnadi (Tóth Cs. 41'), Babos, Rodek (Mocsel 41'), Csiba, Németh (Rácz 41'), Hanzély (Miklós-Kerper 51'), Kamber
Our goalscorers: Csanád Babos, József Mocsel
Djordje Kamber: "Right from the beginning of the match, the opponent was able to exploit our inattention, or rather our lack of concentration. They scored early, which allowed them to play with more freedom. We also had chances to score in the first half, but failed to capitalize on them. In the second half we played much better and managed to score two goals. We cannot afford to give away goals like that. Conceding this many soft goals across an entire season would be too much, let alone in a single match."
U14
Following their victory over DVTK, our U14 team visited Felcsút, returning home with an emphatic eight-goal win. Áron Szilágyi hit a hat-trick, Bence Márta scored a brace, while Dávid Izing, Gergő Juhász, and Milán Walkó contributed one goal each. Despite having played one game fewer, Richárd Takács's team remains unbeaten in the championship and heads into the upcoming fixtures sitting in third place on 11 points.
Top-tier Championship, Round 6
PAFC–Kispest–Honvéd FC 0–8 (0–5)
Line-up: Tóbiás (Pándi 41'), Varga O. (Marsalla 41'), Balla (Jamrik 50'), Pályka, Szilágyi, Baji (Walkó 41'), Márta (Krapfel 50'), Izing (Berki 50'), Juhász, Gál (Várdai 50'), Németh
Our goalscorers: Izing (6'), Szilágyi (20', 42', 73'), Márta (19', 40'), Juhász (27'), Walkó (74')
Richárd Takács, head coach: "In the early stages of the match our play was still a bit disjointed; we were often inaccurate and didn't always make the right decisions. However, through individual efforts we still created chances early on and managed to take the lead in the opening minutes. As time went on, the game increasingly went the way we wanted: we established great dominance in the pitch, remained a constant threat to the opponent's goal, and unlike in recent weeks, we converted our chances at a very good rate."
