As is known, after the international break a demanding schedule began, with our players having to perform not only in the league but also in the cup. Our defender Petra Nyul had little time to recover because, together with our goalkeeper Nikolett Krizsan, she represented our club in the Hungary U19 team's European Championship qualifying programme. Hungary faced Spain, Portugal and Northern Ireland.
“We spent two weeks in Lisbon with the U19 national team. As a 2007-born player, unfortunately this was my final appearance at youth international level, so those two weeks were a little bittersweet. Overall, though, I can say that we played some very good matches and, apart from the ending — when we were relegated to League B —, we were able to learn a lot from them. The schedule at home was also demanding, as we played three league matches within one week and only then were able to travel. I started all three matches there, so when we came home I felt somewhat drained both mentally and physically. Even so, I tried to freshen up because we still have a lot of work ahead of us at home.” – our player told us.
On Wednesday, Balázs Dörnyei's team suffered a 3–0 defeat to reigning league champions Ferencváros in the Simple Women's Cup final, ending the competition with the silver medal. Following the final, our team host PMFC at the Bozsik Aréna. Points are extremely important for our opponents as well: with 23 points — only one behind our team — they sit eighth in the league.
“The team wants to give its maximum in every match, and the end of the league season will be no different. Naturally, we will also take the field against Pécs for all three points and will do everything we can to get them. We expect a very tight match because everyone wants to achieve the best possible result at the end of the season, so every small moment will matter."
