The Szeged side have become a stable top-flight team in recent years. Their home is the impressive Szent Gellért Fórum, with a capacity of nearly 8,000, where they will host several strong opponents again this season.
KÉSZ-St. Mihály strengthened their squad significantly over the summer, with Anita Horváth, Milica Popovic, Lilla Komlós, Flóra Szőke and Nadja Djurdjevac among those joining. In the opening round, however, they lost a high-scoring match 3–1 to PAFC.
Our league start was particularly memorable, as we hosted reigning champions FTC and fought to a 1–1 draw in the opening match.
The two teams also played close contests last season: we lost 2–1 at home in August, but won 1–0 away at Szent Gellért Fórum in November.
