Szelényi scores again as our second team play their final friendly

Like our first team, Kovács Gábor's side reached the final stage of their preparations on Saturday, hosting recently relegated NB II side Budafoki MTE at the academy.

The visitors took the lead in the 24th minute through defensive midfielder Géringer Tamás, who joined the Promontor Street club from Tiszakécske this summer (0–1). We went into the break one goal down, before Szelényi Márk – who had also scored against Bicskei TC and SZAC Budapest – equalised after the restart (1–1). Nándori Botond then restored Budafok's lead, meaning we ended our final friendly with a one-goal defeat (1–2).

Our second team begin their league campaign at home against Békéscsaba on July 26. (You can find the NB III South-East Group fixture list here.)
