Balázs Dörnyei's assessment: “We were able to play a very instructive match against a team competing in the Champions League. These are the kinds of matches you can truly learn from, where the opponents play at a much higher tempo. Hopefully we will be able to play as many matches like this as possible in the future, because that serves the development of both the players and the team. I am absolutely satisfied with the work the girls are putting in, but obviously we still have a huge amount to do. We have to be very patient with this team. A lot of work is still needed – whether I look at the staff or the players – everyone is doing everything they can so that we can improve.
There are periods when we look very good in matches, and others when we lose our thread, but that is natural. We need time because the players have come from many different places, with different training methods and tactics, and now we are gradually moulding them together.”
