Head coach Balázs Dörnyei assessed the performance as follows: “We played sporting matches in a good atmosphere. Every player received the same amount of opportunity. We finished the day without injuries, so we were able to bring the year to a close in good spirits, setting the tone for our end-of-year event this evening. We now have a two-week break, followed by home training. We will be far from starting from zero when preparations begin on January 5. Compared with previous years, the spring league season starts earlier, already in mid-February, so we will have six weeks to prepare.”
According to Eszter Csáki, a player on our team, they were suitably tired by the end, and the tournament was a good way to wind down after the season. “I think we took part in an enjoyable indoor tournament in Martonvásár. Our goal was to finish as high as possible while making sure everyone went home for the break safe and healthy. I feel everyone gave everything, we enjoyed playing, scored goals and produced some good solutions. Every team represented serious playing strength, and we had hard-fought matches. We became properly tired, so it was a good cool-down for the team. Now comes a well-deserved rest, and from January the work can begin again.”
