Our team faced MTK in the match for third place. After a 0-0 draw, the Budapest blue-and-whites won the penalty shoot-out 3-2, so we finished in fourth place.
Our player Ráhel Váradi assessed the tournament: “After finishing second in the group, we played MTK for the bronze medal. In an extremely tight match, unfortunately we lost the shoot-out after normal time. There was a really good atmosphere within the team on both days, among both the players and coaches. On many occasions we had to fight for each other, and at one point we even had to play two minutes with a player less. Everyone gave everything they had. We enjoyed the tournament; we are sorry we could not take third place, but everyone came away with many great memories and a lot of experience.”
