After Monor and Tiszaföldvár, Honvéd II also put Dabas to the sword. Kovács Gábor's side built a two-goal first-half lead through Hancz Dominik and Hetyei Szilveszter, who scored his third goal of the week. This time our team played in a different formation with two centre-forwards, and it worked: after the interval Átrok Zalán's goal increased our lead to three. Dabas later pulled one back through a long-range effort from Kiss, but there was no question which team would take the three points. Honvéd II deservedly recorded a third successive victory.
Kovács Gábor: — It was an interesting match. Unfortunately, just as against Monor, our opponents had a chance in the opening five minutes. We need to correct that in the near future. We started sleepily and Dabas hit the post; had that gone in, the match could have developed very differently. After that we woke up and played what we had planned and practised in training. We took the lead from exactly the kind of attack we had prepared for. Our right-back made an excellent cross after a run from deep and the well-arriving Hancz finished into the net. It became easier to play after that because the opposition had to push forward, leaving more space behind them. After a nice combination between Hancz and Hetyei, we managed to score the second goal as well. I felt we could surprise them with two centre-forwards, and it looks as though it worked. We came out after the break wanting to win the second half too. The opposition took risks and we scored our third goal after a nice counter-attack. After that it became an end-to-end game, with chances at both ends and either team could have scored, but only the visitors managed to do so with a long-range shot. We had a lot of chances; overall our victory was deserved. Congratulations to the team and the staff as well, because this was collective work.
