Our women’s team lost 4-0 to Ferencváros at the Kocsis Sándor Sports Centre in Round 16 of the Simple Women’s League.

The match did not start well for us. A major defensive error allowed Evelin Fenyvesi to score in the very first minute. (1-0)

After the early goal we tried to regroup. The play was balanced in midfield, although Fradi had more of the ball. Even so, we managed to score, but the goal was ruled out for offside, so the hosts retained their 1-0 lead at the break.

After the restart, the green-and-whites gained the physical upper hand despite having played a cup match on Wednesday. We switched to a back three in the second half, after which Fradi created chances one after another, and in the 68th minute Barbara Zágonyi doubled the hosts' advantage. (2-0)

There were large spaces in our defence, which was one of the reasons Alesia Mare Garcia also got on the scoresheet in the 82nd minute (3-0), before Vanessza Nagy struck two minutes later. (4-0) Fradi could have scored more, but our goalkeeper Fruzsina Schildkraut produced some excellent saves. The expected result therefore prevailed, with Ferencváros winning the match 4-0.

Fruzsina Schildkraut assessed the match as follows: “Unfortunately, the game did not turn out the way we wanted. We had some good moments, but we also made a lot of mistakes, and in the end that is why we could not pick up a point. We need to concentrate better so that next time we do not leave room for errors like these. We will keep working, learn from this and try to improve in the next match.”
