As is well known, our women's team played away to Újpest last Saturday. Although Fanni Vachter gave us the lead after the break, the purple-and-whites equalised through Lilla Nagy before Samantha Tristan completed the turnaround late on. After the league matches against ETO and Újpest, another major test awaits our team as we host defending champions Ferencváros at the academy on Saturday. The green-and-whites remain unbeaten in the 2026–2027 season: they collected all three points against Újpest, Astra and DVTK, while their trip to Felcsút ended in a four-goal draw. Flórián Albert's side currently sit third in the table and have also played one match fewer.

Ferencváros's women's section was founded in 2004. The team finished second in NB II in the 2005-2006 season and thereby earned promotion. After a brief detour, they returned to the top flight from the 2013-2014 season and became one of its dominant teams, while also regularly competing in international cup competitions. The club has celebrated nine league titles and seven Hungarian Cup triumphs in its history. The green-and-whites won the championship for a seventh consecutive time last season and lifted the cup again after a five-year wait.
Shared history:
We have played Ferencváros seven times in total over the past decade, with a record of one draw and six defeats. The teams met three times in the 2025-2026 season: in Round 1 of the Simple Women's League we drew 1–1 at home with Flórián Albert's side, then a few rounds later our opponents kept all three points at home with a two-goal victory. Most recently, in April, we faced the defending champions in the Simple Women's Cup final, where we suffered a three-goal defeat and finished runners-up. Our head coach Balázs Dörnyei managed the Ferencváros women's team for eight years, winning five league titles during that period (no champion was declared in one season because of COVID) and celebrating six consecutive Hungarian Cup victories.
