Our women's team has had an eventful week, having claimed a historic 2–0 victory over PAFC on Wednesday thanks to goals from Panna Nagy and Fanni Vachter. Following Wednesday's triumph, another challenge awaited our players immediately: on Sunday, we took the pitch as visitors against Astra HFC at the Kelen SC Sporttelep. Promoted from the second division, Astra sat tenth in the table prior to the clash with one win, two draws, and five defeats, while our side went into the fixture from sixth position. The home team's starting lineup featured three former Honvéd players: alongside Adrienn Végh, Virág Sipőcz and Katinka Katona had also spent two seasons strengthening our squad.
In the 12th minute, Hanna Alasz tried her luck from 16 meters, but her effort was blocked in time by the home defense. Shortly after, our 17-year-old forward played Fanni Vachter through, who aimed for the far post, but her shot rolled just wide of the target. Sára Krisztin delivered a cross to Hanna Alasz, and although her strike was blocked, the rebound fell to Fanni Vachter, but our attacker's attempt was kept out by Astra goalkeeper Petra Halla. After a goalless first half, Anna Sain tested Halla from distance, but the keeper gathered it confidently. The deadlock was finally broken in the 53rd minute when we took the lead: Simona Horváthová stepped up for a free kick, whipped it into the middle, and Panna Nagy flicked it into the net (0–1). Three minutes later, Linett Bozsik unleashed a right-footed shot from around 18 meters, which took a deflection off Nóra Pap and ricocheted into the net (0–2). In the 90th minute, the hosts managed to pull one back: Virág Németh crossed and Orsolya Balogh headed home (1–2). However, we delivered an instant response: in stoppage time, Fanni Vachter earned a penalty and dispatched it with great composure, firing with pinpoint precision into the top left corner (1–3).

Balázs Dörnyei, head coach: "The girls tried to follow what we discussed in the first half, but the pitch was completely unplayable. At the break, we decided to switch to long balls. Our goal was to deliver as many balls into the penalty box as possible and force their three central defenders into making mistakes. The girls showed great character on the pitch, and that is why we managed to win the match. Today's three points were very important because we won on a pitch where even teams ranked higher than us have had to bleed for every inch, and I am absolutely certain not every team will leave here with all three points. Astra is a very awkward opponent. I think everyone can be pleased with this week, as we were able to win three matches."
Panna Nagy: "We have completed an exciting week, picking up all the points we possibly could. I believe the match against Felcsút set the tone for the final game of the week. I am very grateful to the team for their support, and also to the coaching staff for placing their trust in me. I want to repay that in every match and training session."
